Anipop Kyuu-ti - Saturday 17/09/2011

Hello!

Anipop Kyuu-ti happened on the 16,17,18 of September 2011 on Museu do Oriente, Lisbon, Portugal.
There were going to be two different cosplay contests, one on saturday and the other one on sunday. We decided to attend both =)

Saturday

Saturday was the last qualifier to our Portuguese Cosplay Championship 2011. Marta decided to attend it with her brand new Morgana cosplay from League of Legends =) I didn't enter the contest since i am already qualified.
Me and Abel spent the entire day after her carrying her wings ahaha xD
It was kind of hard for Marta to walk around in that costume... we had to change floors several times, and everytime we changed, we had to dismount and mount her wings again!

The contest only had 4 participants... it was kind of sad... still, it was very fun! Although i didn't enter the contest, i was in the backstage with the participants most of the time, since i had to carry and mount her wings xD

It was very hard to take good photos on this event! It was very windy outside making it difficult to handle the wings... and it was also difficult to take photos inside of the building because of the lack of space and not so good illumination.

Still, we managed to get some photos:

We strongly believe that Marta was prejudiced due to the fact that the the juris were not informed about her character background although she sent related information several days before. This information never reached the juris. I have already discussed this problem on another blog post Anipop Kyuu-ti / estado do cosplay em Portugal (in Portuguese. sorry!! )

I sure hope that more people start to attend contests soon! If there are only 3 or 4 contestants... the show ends just too soon ;____;
